We have been breeders for several years, and we are very well aware of the issues breeders face when whelping and raising their puppies. Bad smell and the long hours it takes to keep the puppies and the surroundings clean is a major problem. We had our first three litters in our home, and during that time we did not invite anyone over due to the sanitary conditions associated with raising puppies. Needless to say, the smell was unbearable most of the time. We had kennel panels around the traditional whelping boxes to keep the moms and the litters contained.

We then decided to move the whelping to our garage. We used the same system, but still had a problem with the smell and keeping the puppies away from their waste. The traditional whelping box made out of wood absorbed the bad odor and got badly stained. When the puppies were 2-3 weeks, we put newspaper on the floor and had to change it 2-3 times a day. Still, the puppies slept, played and rolled in their waste. We had to bathe the puppies right before a customer came to see them.

Being at a crossroads as weather to continue breeding or not, we designed the BreederSelect Whelping System. The smell is gone. The puppies are clean and healthy, and the workload has been reduced by 75%. What took 20 minutes to clean, now takes 5 minutes. It is like magic. Our customers often visit our nursery and they are very impressed.
